Recently found over here a unfired German made 3.7" projectile with a Brittish made time fuze No 199 from 1938. We occasionally find them fired this is the first time we had a unfired one, regrettably no case. Intresting to see that the used the Brittish No 199 time fuze and the 2 steel driving bands.
Still looking for information.

Nice combo. I always wonder how they get up with the logistics to supply shells, fuse etc and even make these combo's to keep them firing. does this one exist with a German fuse too?

Hi Blu97,

After your last find, a British 3in with a German Az23/28 Pr, a German 3.7in with a British No199, what unusual combos !

Cheers

I only found in a book about artillery that they made 100,000 rounds and in an brittish document that German steel cases where found. No other documents found so far.
And yes mineaz16 strange things, first we found a German made shell for the dutch aa canon 7.5 cm TL with a Dutch mechanical time fuze No 5, a Brittish 3" with a AZ23/28Pr and now A german made 3.7" with a Brittish No 199 time fuze.
