German rifle grenade m1917

The m1917 German rifle grenade was basiclly a direct copy of the French V.B. rifle grenade. Going into service in 1917 it used a removalbe cup launcher and ball ammunition, adapted to the Mauser 98 rifle. Grenade body is internally grooved. With the V.B., the primer exploded upon exit, but with the German rifle grenade the primer exploded inside the central tube. The body of the grenade is 6cm in diameter with a total weight of 440 grams of which 36 grams is Tolite.
Maximun range: 180 meters

No markings Missingsomething, I wish it did, mine is more of a cleaned and painted relic and not in as good condition as yours is. Kind of looking for practice version now (has a more rounded bottom). Dano
