German WWII Headstamp Bunters

Does anyone have a German headstamp bunter from WWII or earlier????

How about any information on the application of headstamps during this period (drawings of tooling, technical reports, etc.)???

It has been suggested a number of times over the years that the German bunters were made in four segments so lots and years could be changed regularly, or that there were actually a series of bunting processes to make the complete four position headstamps. Another version is that the German bunters had replacable lot numbers and/or replacable years.

This is not consistent with headstamp bunters I have seen but I have never seen a German bunter of this period.

Cheers,
Lewis
