Evening All,

I have known about this place for a number of decades - finally got to visited it recently - it's located about 45mins from Surface Paradise near Brisbane.



In the entrance there is a shop selling reproduction guns etc plus some cases although years ago they were selling lots of fuzes, cases and other militaria

Heaps of interesting displays .

Last saw this museum in the 1970's. It has changed rather a lot and has some lovely items. Cart cases are rather hefty priced though, or are these normal now in Aust ?

The prices are more on the high side and the items offered not that desirable - they probably have been there for a while and still be there next visit.
Standard post-war 105mm cases sell these days between $60 - $150 depending who offering them - Arms Fairs / Junk shops / antique centres.
All the "good" stuff is hard to find nowadays - not that I look for cases (unless they have been repurposed to torpedo cartridge firing)

If you get by the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum, I could REALLY use some pictures of the inside of their PU-12 (BTR-60 mod for air defense command and control). I tried emailing them and no response.

Last time I was up in Carins was back in the late 1980's - way before the Museum existed.
Unfortunately, at this stage I currently have no plans to go back . ("Never say never" LOL)
