Gold Nosecone

Anyone know what this nosecone/cover is from? it is marked in red ink 390 mk5 17 cy 1 66 and on the reverse is stamped No5 Mk1/TBL height is 10cm and width at the base is 6.5cm

I did not see the date, still the same cover for a 390 fuze though.

Hi Paul,

Nice Nose cone!

Interesting "streamline" shape and noticed it is a "Mk 5"

I have a No 390 Mk2A fuse and cover (well pretty sure that it is a "2A" on the cover where it has faded)

The 390 Mk2 /Mk2A were used on 3" and 4.2" smoke rounds, Mk 1 and Mk 3 were used on the 17pdr, 20pdr and 76mm, but not sure how accurate "my notes" are?
