[Millsman]

On the 13th September 1909 The Cotton Powder Company Ltd held a demonstration of their rifle grenade at the Faversham Factory led by Frederick Marten Hale. The demonstration was attended by Military personnel from many nations. Spain was represented by Captain S Y Garrido of the Spanish Artillery.

At the end of the demonstration Captain Garrido placed an immediate order for a large batch of the grenades.
