Grenade Hand Clay Mk1 Training

After looking through manuals trying to find grenade keys for the Mills 36, I came across this in a British manual 1945 Grenades and found a Grenade Hand Clay Mk1 used for training to simulate a Mills Bomb but activated by lighting a fuze on the top. This was a factory made grenade as it refers to Lot numbers. Painted white with a 1/4 red band around the top and serrations around the middle of the grenade. The fuze is 2inches long and gives a five second delay. The box they come in are marked Trench Clay Grenades.
Anyone know about them, its the first i heard from them.

No seriously, the body didn't have the serrations shown in some illustrations and you have to wonder if it wasn't a rebuild anyway. After all, the clay body must be pretty easy to make.
