Grenade ID help

This is one up for sale on gun broker. I have never seen one similar. Somebody likes it because the bid is currently at 2,700.00 U.S. Was wondering if one of our BOCN members could ID. I of course will not be bidding but just curious..............Dano

which one.
cheers, Paul the Baffled:tinysmile_hmm_t2:

 Equally baffled but would guess Itailian, maybe dual use, grenade and mine. The rings look 1960's onwards. Never seen the like before.

I am still trying to figure out from photo if grenade is that short or maybe picture is compresed. Correction on bid id is only 2,200.00 U.S. with 27 registered bids!!!! Looks like it's going to bring a shiny nickel too...Dan

Hey Dano, I've been watching this one too. Very odd one for sure. I hope someone has correct info on this grenade. I agree a pre-war experimental type grenade. Maybe American. It would be interesting to know if the threads are SAE or metric, and what the fuzes look like under the cover with the one screw.

I wonder if it's safe. I don't see how the two small dets were interted.

I thought I say that on sargent Lynn,s web site a few years back on ,(what is it )If memory serves me right I think it was from Spain??
