Grenade identification

This grenade was found among onions and is believed to have come from France. Does anyone know what type of grenade it is? It has copper driving bands.

It is too dirty to see the bands but possibly it is a German 37mm Tracer projectile? Wash some dirt off for a better photo please.
The flat tip and brass? plug in the base look similar but France , UK and Germany all used various 37mm ammunition.

Yes, ww1 German 3.7cm tracer. Very common on french ww1 Battlefields.
