The British Air Publication 1661B, volume I, indicates as filling for the 1000 lb. G.P. bombs Mk I till Mk IV, 333 lb. Amatol 80/20.

The US TM 9-1985-1 says 357 lb. Amatol 60/40 or 378 lb. RDX/TNT 60/40.

Who speaks the truth?
 
I'd probably go with the Brits, it's their piece. The TM 9-1985 series are good general references, but are filled with technical errors at the same time.
