H50 ammunition box manufacturer ID?

Yes it is - Fisher & Ludlow, Albion Works, Rea Street, Birmingham. They also made 25 Pr cases.

Couple of H50s I've just bought from a local reclamation place. Left, a 1944 in good solid condition, missing a wire clasp. Right, a 1945 that hasn't fared too well. One hinge rusted through and the floor has a few holes. The third pic is the '44 which has slots on either side. I have another '44 exactly the same without slots. I paid what I thought was too much but found a 1943 dixie complete with all matching stamps, bargain!
I looked up VAL on Grace's Guide and Valor made ammunition boxes during the war so assuming they used VAL unless someone knows different.

Hinges made for the 1945 H50. Just bolted on at the moment. Couple of holes on the bottom to plate and smaller ones filled with metal filler. Needs a skim of P38 filler all over to fill the rust dents.

Another H50 VAL 1945 dated from the same reclamation place as the two previous.

Good, solid condition. Appears to be service brown though was it originally bronze green as the forth photo shows? This has slots near the handles and the other '45 I have doesn't.
