Hamsun (1996)

A IIWW drama revolving around the family of Knut Hamsun, a 1920 Nobel prize winner in literature https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116480/. A great, albeit long, portrayal of Norway under German occupation, and a very detailed turmoil within Hamsun's own family. To me, it is a great take on obsessions with ideas and public figures, whether they are politicians, musicians etc., with idolising big names without any logic or basis.

WW2 in Norway is a front that is ignored by many. However it was very interesting how the Norwegians coped with the occupation and after the war dealt with collaborators and traitors.
