Alright I apologise in advance but I have no picture as I am waiting on a person to send the thing. (if he ever gets the image from his friend).
The best description he has was was that the thing was brought home by his friends grandfather from ww2. (Im assuming canadian soldier)
Shape and size is like a medium sized coffee can
On the top there was a m2 style igniter (from his description I figure it seems close to that)
On the side there is a sheet metal handle welded to the can.
Markings were he believed in english, had a picture of a guy throwing and what he believed was the effective radius of 10 (Something) He doesn't speak english)
small plaque with a serial number that was scratched out.
He thought it was a grenade of some sort, but he figured it was way too big to throw far enough to be safe.
I figure it is some sort of smoke pot, the guy said the grandfather also had a mortar, and a round for it. if that can narrow down the use of the other object.
If it stands out for someone, please tell me, if not I'll post the pic if I ever get it.
Thanks.
