Has any one ever seem a 3 inch 20 CWT or 77 mm Comet Tank DRILL round ?

I am sure they would have been around, but have never seen any reference to these.

Any photos, even of other loads and projectiles would be of assistance.

Andy, wood DRILL round pics attached, also have an AP proj. marked 3"20Cwt. The HE specimen is packed in storage but have also seen shrapnel proj.
Never seen a 77mm cart. here in Australia.

Some 77mm cartridge cases were converted into propulsion cartridges for the Anti-Submarine Mortar Mark 10 (Limbo). I have not come across a full-length 77mm case for the tank gun.

There is a rumour that a few Comet tanks were set up in trials for the Nuclear testing of atom bombs in out back South Australia, but I have not seen pics of them. I would doubt if there was any ammo in the tank that it would have survived or escaped a) the blast, b) the burying of the items after the tests.
The only 77mm cart cases would either have been brought back as war souvenirs or brought in by collectors since the war.
I still haven't seen one or any anti sub carts marked 77mm.
Plenty of 17pdr/77mm projectiles & Australian made 17pdr carts.
Ozzi.

I have two Mortar Mark 10 cartridge cases, one was a 77mm the other was 3 inch 20 cwt. They were cut down to 304mm length and skimmed inside the mouth. The charge was retained by a cupped, varnished wad. The Mark 10 was electrically fired. These cases have a prolification of stamps on the headstamping.
