Hawkins Grenade Igniter

Does anybody make an inert reproduction igniter for a inert reproduction Hawkins Grenade No75 MKII ?

I have inert reproduction igniters for the earlier Hawkins grenade, but not for the later one. Any help is appreciated.

Not interested in anything that actually flashes or goes ka-boom. That would frighten the neighbors and upset the local constabulary. Thank you

Welcome aboard Mkdorney.
Please note that this is the dedicated section for ordnance fuzes other than bomb fuzes and pistols and that there is also another one for grenades.
Best regards

I think they are about as there are lots of safe replicas made for these, just know where to find them. I would keep replica or inert fuze separate from any type of device real or replica as the authorities not knowing the circumstances think the device is armed and live, especially if you are unfortunate enough to get a visit.

I really have no interest in anything that goes ka-boom, and don’t own anything that goes ka-boom. I suppose I could make reproduction igniters. The top of the later igniters to me looks like the green houses in the Parker Brothers “Monopoly “ game. The igniter completes the display

Is this the one you were looking for?
I used a light blue compound in the sectioned sample to improve visibility.
The original igniter powder is a dark purple color, as shown in the three vials.

The picture of the black, two piece one is the correct igniter for the inert Hawkins No75 Mk II grenade I have

This is the inert No 75 igniter my friend had. Notice - one piece construction, no black rubber waterproofing sleeve in the middle. And of course, the top part is light brown, not red.
I could add a waterproofing sleeve using shrink tubing. I’d use powder blue tube ( denotes an inert training aid here in the USA )
