This movie, which is like a 1957 version of Swept Away (1974) (with original Italian title of Travolti da un insolito destino nell'azzurro mare d'agosto), must have made a lot of media buzz in 1957, it touches on some tough religious concepts and questions. Regardless, their lives are made miserable by a IJN landing. If anyone knows the name of a large black rat like possum in the scene when the Marine steals food from the Japanese camp, I'd like to know it.
