Does anyone know what it's for etc ? No markings that I could find. likely over painted
and any visible label is new.
But it's not a flimsy thing.

These cases were used in the Belgian army before and after WW 2 for 7,65 X 54 en 9 mm catridges , I think these are M19 cases but I'm not sure .

Not familiar to me re British service use. The blocks on the lid for the closures are not like any I remember.
