Hello...the projectile is probably a 40mm Bofors but the cartridge case is 40mm Vickers (2pounder No1) which did not use this projectile.

Hi Hasag,Charlie is correct,Looks to be a 40mm Bofors plugged practice projectile in the wrong case. Can you read the markings on the shell? Does it have a tracer fitted or a plug? Cheers Tig.
