Good day, we were given this item last week at teh Museum. We were told it is from WW 1, but no more information was given. Can any body provide any information on this item?

I believe it to be a British practice bomb from WW1. Herewith a drawing from the Research Department at Woolwich. The annotation that the bomb was dropped from a German Airship may cause some interest. Probably just a mistake in the drawing office but an aerial bomb specialist might know otherwise.
