Looking for help identifying the maker's mark (thistle?) on this fired British 4.7" shell. Appears to be dated 18/3/05 (1905). Please see attached photos.
So it seems info on Edwardian ordnance production is a tad thin... oh well,will keep looking for foundry trademark identification. I have no doubt something will turn up on this site or elsewhere eventually.
