Help needed identifying British Naval shell case please...

Hello, I acquired two shell cases at a boot far this weekend. I have done some research but am confused as to what they are and there dates.

The rimmed cases stand 9 and three quarter inches tall.
They are 3" wide across the rim tapering to 2.5" at the neck. They are not bottle nosed shell cases.
There are two slots opposite each other .5" from neck. .5 " wide.
Base stamps are:

11(BROAD ARROW) 93

111 crossed out and 1V above.

R.BROAD AROW. L.

N.

.92.

Apologies, just moved house and cant locate camera at present. Any help much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Uncle Morris.

I would say probably 6 pounder hotchkiss blank cartridges. I'm sure someone else will confirm :)

Thanks for your reply Ben. Would the date for these be 1892 or 1992. As I understand, the Royal Laboratries at Woolwich closed in 1965?
