help needed

hi could anyone help me with any information on this fuze.
the only information on it is F84 stamped on the setting ring

Hello not France, but German shrapnel fuze 83 for 8 + 9 cm shells time ca. 1880-85 Harry

hmmm

looks like a part from a ww1 time fuze to me,and isnt complete.
Is it missing its 'gaine' i'm not sure.

Ive had a scout on the interenet with no luck.

Ive included an image fro passion compassion.com of a British n0 80 timed fuze and you can see they share simular features.

Hope this helps alittle,maybe someone can shed light on this further.
