help needed!

hello, i'm after help identifying an item its about 4 1/2 foot high and about 14 or 15 inches in diameter (12 inch ruler at bottom of shell)
it doesnt have a nose fuze, but may have a base fuze.
any help is greatly appreciated.

Looks to me, like a 28 or 38 cm German WW2 projectile, but the problem is i have no idea how much a foot or inch is, sorry, Ben
