I just got a transportation box for (i think for modern German) 60 mm mortar rounds

Wfgr should be Wurfergranate, but the BGS is a mystery to me

No other markings painted/embossed in the box

It's completely out of my comfort zone, so all info on this container is welcome.

Hallo @orpheus72,
BGS is short for "Bundesgrenzschutz", which is the "border protetion force". It's a semi-military border police force that often also gets used as security force for german embassies in foreign countries.
Regards,
Bellifortis.
