Help Requested for Identification

steph

New Member
Hello everyone from France,
Would anyone have any suggestions regarding the identification of this munition, or at least be able to point me in the right direction?
Some measurements and features:
Nose and base fuze positions
Length: approximately 63 cm (24.8 inches)
Diameter: approximately 13 cm (5.1 inches)
A visible double band (or double driving band) around the middle section
Any information, ideas, or references would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Identification Solved

The item has now been positively identified as a French 155 mm shell (Model 1890 or Model 1914) that was machined down and converted into a penetration bomb, later redesignated as a Type A bomb.
