Help ! What is this? LARGE Projectile.

I just picked up 3 of these . They weigh around 500lb and are 10" x 42" . What are they and where did they come from ?
This weekend i will rent a jackhammer and clean them up .I will upload better pictures this afternoon . Thanks for the help .

It appears to be a 10 inch projectile with the older style armor piercing cap on the nose. I've attached a photo from a U.S. manual on seacoast artillery from 1918 showing 12 inch projectiles of similar design. This type of cap was being phased out in 1918.

I agree with Hazord, 10" projectile. I think you have what may have been driveway markers that were concreted in to stop someone thieving them.

Once you take the concrete off, clean up the driveband & check for stampings. I have a 12" specimen & it has the same style of ballistic cap, but any markings should give you an idea of what you have.

They were a display around a flag pole .I saved the three projectiles .But the large hollow cannon balls in the display were sold for scrap before i could save them.
 
Selling projectiles for scrap, especially vintage pieces of historical importance should be a crime.
