Help with M106...

Hope this isn't a completely daft question but as a newbie here I'll go for it! I'm looking for an M106 8" shell to finalise a group of M1 and M101 US shells - haven't got a clue where to start I'm the UK, is it completely unrealistic or are there items in and around Europe to
be had?
cheers

They are over there. One of our members in your part of the world posted a photo of one that he had, within the last year.

Thanks - at least that's a ray of hope! I'm sure everyone would love to own one and it's a cheeky ask I know, just haven't got a clue where to start and have decided to focus my collecting on the larger calibre stuff.

Reading up a little more, there certainly are supposed to be quite a few of these about, especially since Britain brought the M110 SP howitzer out of retirement for the Iraq war - and have now put it back in again.... Will keep looking and asking!

They are very heavy and not easily moved. So they aren't easy to carry off by collectors etc.

Not so bad - 80 odd euro for a pallet which is just what I paid for the two 155s... But academic for now!
