I bought some 37 pattern webbing yesterday and found these in the pouches.i could really use some help with identification as I have no clue,this is all new to me.Any help would be much appreciated.:tinysmile_cry_t2:

The small oldest one i dont know,can you add some more regarding markings etc
The tall one, is a L106 A3 fuze which is modern,,its a direct action/graze fuze used on 105mm and 155mm HE projectiles

Thankyou.The smaller one's markings are 1939 , 69 with J H in a circle above it , VAD with and upward facing arrow above it , 3/40 with what looks like Z P in a box above it , no 198 not sure if some digits are missing , II N F. I presume the middle ring is to set a time delay it has safe with an arrow below then increments from 1 - 22.Also the L106 A3 looks intact , is this something I need to hand in to the police.

hi Danny, the No.198 was a Royal Navy star shell fuze. Andy has given you the details regarding the L106. Both have been used and have clearly worked as intended so no need to take them to the authorities. But you are right to ask if uncertain about something ordnance related.

Thanks Dave for the info.Its good to know I don't have anything dangerous.Im thinking this could be the start of a new hobby for me lol

I think you could build quite a nice collection of fuzes similar to the ones you have without too much expense......of course it is like anything else the rarer items command higher prices, but dont let that put you off. If funds are limited it perhaps pays to stick within a time frame, or type etc, though it is equally rewarding just to collect 'items that take your eye'...........however one word of advice, always buy from a reputable dealer and never buy anything that someone isnt prepared to take apart in front of you.
