We are off to Newquay Cornwall soon for a couple of days and plan a couple more on the way from the London area probably staying around the Exeter area. The question is is there any where worth looking at either on the way or there? Typical ranges with walks on, small museums. Thanks

Hi 2pounder,
Dartmoor is well worth a visit, the army has used over 365 acres of land for training for well over a hundred years on there and the scenery is stunning with lots of walks to choose from, you can always check firing times on here.... http://www.dartmoor-ranges.co.uk/firing_notice_1.html

Okehampton is a good place to start from as access is easy from there, lots of places in Cornwall to go and look at as well.
Best regards Weasel.
