Hotchkiss made 53x299 case

I recently found this straight 53 mm Hotchkiss case measuring 53x299R64.3. According "Big Bore Ammunition" there is a 53x305R64 case identified as a Gruson L/39 QF gun.

My case seems to be of original length, and is Hotchkiss made. Anybody has an idea what this is and what "24" means? I found the case in Spain, maybe that helps.

the Gruson case has a different shape and no (typical french) "double rim". Maybe a shortened 47mm?

Does anybody know if a 47 mm blank exists like the shortened blank for the Hotchkiss 25 mm AT gun and the 37 mm AA gun? Those have factory made shorter cases.
