Hz 05 schr question , something unusual?

Hi everyone , so recently ive dug out this Hz 05 schr , manufactured by Sb in 1916 , ive had 2 speciments already , the early classical with 3 screws and central hole in the bottom , and late war zinc-steel 05-17 .

So whats unusual , the geometry of bottom cut lines on the sides at diffrent angle , and 2 screws where missing , as well as central hole for the tube ?.. , is this somesort of inter variant in the production ? It was dug out with adapter and had leftovers of brass cup , that surrounded bottom of the fuze and surrounded the tube.
WIch means its a classical field howitzer schrapnel 16 ..

Please enlighten me , Alpini , this one s for You.

Interesting find! Aren't there any markings visible?

In my opinion it's a H.Z.05 (17) Schr. which was made from an altered H.Z.05 Gr. body. Compare it with a H.Z.05 Gr.

But in this configuration it cannot have a percussion function. I am not sure if there was a H.Z.05 Schr. Flak without percussion system.

Il make pictures later.
The markings that could be seen , are "hz 05 schr Sb 16"
Il take a look under proper equipement. Maybe theres a 17 " marking leftovers , need a proper light.
Also il do the comparation with the 05 gr.

No, sorry. I don't have information if there was a H.Z.05 Schr. Flak. But the H.Z.05 Gr. Existed as Flak type without percussion function.

So heres the hz 05 gr for comparison , it looks more like the old original one.

Btw the adapter (head peace Of the shell had steel shrapnel fixated in sulfur . And the central tube was also steel , i belive sulfur is a standart compound for german shrapnels?
Why sulphur , when exposed to the fire it gave yellow - greenish fumes quiet dense.
