i inch aiming tube or flare?

hi, please see the attached photos of either a 1inch aiming tube or flare case. Can anyone tell me which it is from the headstamp? Also, an odd length, its only 2.75 inches long but it might be cut off - you can see crimp marks but would these have been well down on an aiming tube case?

Looks like an aiming tube ,been reloaded a few times and the top of the neck has been roughly removed.The 'pinning' was about an inch from the top.
