ID Help on a grenade

Got a request for help to ID this. I'm slightly over tasked at the momnent, anyone recognize it? Described as a cross between a MKII and a Mills, with a wide heavy base. This is the only photo and no further info except that what was left of the fuze did not look US.

Agreed, a besozzi. If the fuse is thru the top....French; thru the upper side....Italian
