ID needed for 30mm projectile

Hello all,
A friend of mine is buying this round, pretty cheap too. Im guessing it is not the correct casing (a 30mm ADEN casing). Ive seen a few people say its a projectile for the GAU-8 but I have never seen a projectile like that. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks,

One thing for sure, it is not a GAU-8 projo. All of the GAU-8 projectiles, TP, HEI, and API have nylon rotating bands. Aden guns are lower velocity, are usually shorter stubby or flat nosed projos, and use a single small band. Bands like yours are from a high velocity gun.

I went through all my 30mm rounds looking for two things, pointed projectiles and large rotating bands with a single groove around the middle. These photos are ammo for the Hispano HS830 gun. The HEI projo looks just like yours in profile.

Fairly rare. You just don't find large brass cased 30mm stuff much.

While you're searching for the right case, you could always stick it in a Rarden case for display purposes - it's virtually identical.

I've now managed to source a case from a friend , the projectile in the aden case only cost me £8 , I should have it by tomorrow

Haha it wouldn't let me use the little pound logo , the projectile in the aden case cost me 8GBP and I'm getting the correct 30mm hispano case for 15GBP
