Drill Round

.303 inch Drill Mark VI, introduced in 1918 and the standard Land Service drill round until WW2 when cheaper versions were introduced.

Your round probably dates from the 1930s as the code letter for each load in the nomenclature and headstamp (In this case "D" for drill) was not introduced until 1926.

Your round was made at Royal Laboratories, Woolwich.
