Got this with a few other bits
1.5 inches diameter & nearly 5 inches long
As you can see no drive band
Solid steel
No marking visible
Weighs 823g or 1.1lbs - so with a drive band would have been a bit more
 
It is a US 1940's vintage M74 37mm AP round for the M5 or M6 tank guns and the M3 antitank gun.
