Hi,


I'd say that someone thought it was a mortar bomb and added the fuze and the primer to make it more realistic.

But there is no fuze or primer on this practice bomb.

The primer that you can see in the tail of your bomb is the primer of the Signal Cartridge placed upside !
And there is effectively a fuze on this bomb, very simple but effective (firing pin and breaking pin) !
Look on your diagram !

I misspoke. Of course there is a primer and a fuze but not placed like they are on fkw81's pic.
Hope I didn't dig my grave deeper !
