AMS 2496…..looks like a Bomb Incendiary 1lb (also called an Incendiary Medium Light ML Flare). Possibly a little short. Asking Bonnex & Anders T would be a good shout.

2529-2530-2531 is developed and produced in Czechoslovakia, but not used in the Czechoslovak Armed Forces. It is a chemical igniter Che - Ro 1, 2. Color distinction 1 - white - max. 3 hours and 2 - red - max. 6 hours. Used in the GDR

Ro-1 Delay time between 15 minutes and 3 Hours
Ro-2 Delay time between 30 minutes and 6 Hours

Hi Chris, I have a different opinion on the designation Ro-1.There are groups of igniters where the principle is used,,chemical,, an example of an igniter designation is for example ChRo-1 i.e. expresses: Chemical igniter 1.Then there is a group where the mechanical principle is used: for example Ro-1, Ro-2, Ro-3, Ro-4, Ro-5, Ro-6, Ro-7, Ro-8 etc.Plus subtypes marked with a Roman numeral (I, II, III)Then there are groups where the principle of function is electrochemical, for example the representative: ECHRO.There are more groups over time, some have grown, some have disappeared ...
AkonPS: Ro-1 is something different than ChRo-1.
