photo 1 2 and 3 is this a german shell should it have drive band and what kind of fuze please ,
photo 4 what is this please ?
Photo 5 window breaker ?? (empty and inert)

I Can't help with the shell etc, but i should think the window breaker is more of a special forces item ? just a guess, Tony.

Difficult to tell what your shell is, it certainly would have had a driving band.

Have you got some dimensions you could give us, length and width?

the shell is 315mm long
80mm at base
47mm at top
i have put the shell in the Electrolysis bath this may reveal some stamps
or marks etc

Mystery items !

Your 4th Picture shows what I think is a "nose piece" for either a shrapnel shell or very remotely a "Smoke trail" shell.
Do the holes go right through into the cavity ?

Nose cap

Hi Armystuff, well if the holes go right through what I should have asked is "does it appear that the holes would/could have secured the nose cap onto a shell body by shear pins pressed through them" ?
Are the holes threaded ?-some old style shear pins were screwed into the bodies like the 4.5" in How of WW1.
