Evening Everybody,

Can any one help me identify this cartridge. Approx measurements are

Bullet: .407 in (.429 in including paper patch) or 10.17 mm (10.88 mm)
Case Length: 1.581 in or 38.33 mm
Neck: .456 in or 11.56 mm
Shoulder: .522 in or 13.32 mm
Base: .541 in or 13.72 mm
Rim: .623 in or 15.82 mm
Overall Length: 2.190 in or 55.62 mm

I appears to be a rimfire with a raised "C" in the middle of the base.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

I believe it is, there's nothing obvious to indicate otherwise. I collect both inert and live small arms

Hi John,
This headstamp was made on behalf of a Canadian company Caverhill & Learmont, Montreal by Kynoch, Birmingham. The letter 'C' was used at the request of Caverhill.
