AEM maker

Your last one "EMI" could be the well known Fuze maker specialising in Electronic fuzes (proximity) at Hayes in Middlesex just outside London.

The premises are still there although now not used by EMI as far I know, a lot of research was carried out in the laboratories up until the late 90's I believe.

I also had a few Bofors 40/60 fuzes marked "AEM" but never fully identified the maker but suspected they were of American origin.

I have some examples of the No 221 time fuze with JAP on them, dated around 1942, so guess JAP was probably British.

I found JAP. It's the factory "Phillips & Co" at Birmingham.

JAP according to my list is J A Prestwich of London can anyone confirm please.

J.A. Prestwich, Northumberland Road, Tottenham, London.

War effort - Petrol stationary engines, aircraft parts and fuzes.

Best known for their motorcycle engines. "J.A.P."

I found SAT and JCB. It's the factory
" Socit Anonyme de Tlcomunication" in france
"James Cycle Birmingham" in UK

SAT is the Finnish Oy Suomen Ampumatarvetehtaan (later Sako) according my reference.
