Identification please

pictured below is a relic piece I acquired in a trade a few months back from a fellow BOCN member. We think it may be the base to a French Mortar projo but not sure. It is about 6 1/2 inches in diameter and fits right in with my collection of relic pieces. Would really like to know what it is. Ideas anyone??? Dano
Perhaps a model of 1915 frisbee (ouch) or maybe a gonkulation fortitudinal extraction linear recyculation divider? (generation III obviously)
