I got this German stamped (manufacturer aux, 2f40 and waffenambt waa 700 with the bird).
The total length as per picture is about 52 mm, the biggest diameter is 29 mm.
I was told this was from a french antitank gun, appearently reutilised by the Germans.
The picture is blur. sorry, but I could not get it sharper
Could anybody give me some more information???

Hi Toolong,
It looks to be a squeeze bore projectile for the WW2 German 28/20 round missing it's magnesium cap as they all to often do, they just corrode away.
I have added a picture of a complete round taken from Tony Williams pages, sorry Tony hope you don't mind..
