An American Container probably contained AN-M40 20lb frag bombs. Fuzed with M111A2.

Has this on the plate. CLUSTER N.E A.N.M.40 H.E 350 LB. MK.I
Body Length 37
Diameter 12

Does anyone have more info on this item?

There is something on it in the OP1665 Brittish explosive ordnance,

Nose Ejection Cluster Production 7 July 1945.
Fuze No 886.
Load AN-M40 Para with fuze AN-M 104 or 120

Yep Madbomber31, but the contents is what I am after with the M111A2 Fuze. It was found on an experimental range. cant say where, but UK

Sorry Steve, I meant the casing as You have all the gen on the fuze as I do (clockwork). Miss wrote the previous post
 
OK john i wondered about that have you tried AP1661B ? Bombs ive ordered a copy which has been reproduced it wont be in for another week or so
 
We do have some docs at our location but this item is not listed as an experimental drop
