Nah,they look totally different and are colour coded with thin lead straps to attach them to the rails

Agree with smle2009. Here a Finnish version of railroad signal from 1940's.
Is it possible to read the curved print above date stencils? It might bring some light in question.

I was selling some of these on SA a while ago for a friend but things went 'tits up',so waiting for stuff to be picked up.
Also had them in blue and green
