The red plastic .50 rounds , can anyone give me any more info on these please. I am sorry my camera has gone on the blink. they are full plastic apart from the metallic base with a nickel primer but no head stamp

cheers
Richard.

Without seeing it I cannot confirm, but it sounds like a product of Bakelitefabriken in Norway. They were the pioneers of plastic blanks in the 1960s.

In 1956 SFM French Factory build blanks ammo with plastic red for contract with Norway and Holland.

Here is a variety of plastic blanks.OrdHut 1-1-11 105 (Small).jpg ord hut 044 (Small).jpg

Not up on details. Pretty sure the red ones are from Norway. Maybe Freaky can advise with better info. The white one is a true blank where the blue ones actually fire the projectile. Including tracers(red-tipped).

Richard.
