It vaguely reminds me of the shellcase of a hedgehog anti submarine spigot bomb.

Hello,

I am quite certain that pzgr40 is correct. It is a launching cartridge for a hedgehog anti submarine spigot bomb. Below are pictures of mine. All 3 came as a set and I believe they go together.
