Does anybody have info on British 60lb projectiles or 28lb HE Anti-Tank projectiles??:tinysmile_eyebrow_t

Because Ray is busy with work,if anyone can help with this they can also send info direct to me so i can forward it on through work.
Also we are a bit unsure about what a 28lb HE ant tank round is ,so any help advice welcome..sorry but no pics of the items

I assume you mean ref the 28lb HE AT ,,no i asked ray and it is definately a projectile or parts of,,he got some basic info from the official identifier but not much,,ill ask if he can provide a photo sometime this week

Are you referring to 'RP-3' - Rocket Projectile, 3 inch, that came in 60lb and 25lb variants?

Regards

TimG.

quote ray "28lb was a H/E Anti-Tank round not sure if it was fired by another tank or by an artillery piece" hope you dont mind ray
like i said earlier i will try get some pics this week,,to confirm what it is were looking for information on

There were 28lb HE and AP rounds for the 3.7" antiaircraft gun.

The 28lb HE round was nose fuzed and the AP was solid with a tracer.

They are the only 28lb shells I am aware of.

I assume that 28lb HEAT round you are after information on is a shaped charge round rather than a base fuze APHE?
