I got this 12pr case today.
The case's rim is very interesting. It's have little grooves.
This is normal in this cases? Or the grooves is maybe civil modification?
this sort of grooves usually refered to as knurling is generally used to indicate a non service round or case ie a blank or practice where it might get mixed with service rounds. Never seen it on a 12pr, whats the case length and does it have the 3 cut outs? 2pr
I also agree that your case is very likely to be a "Blank" with the "Knurled" rim-I used to have one with the same rim and it was stencilled "Blank" and also had no cutouts on the neck.
