interesting baseplug

I found a rather poorly done No. 5 cutaway yesterday in one of our local shops. Normally I wouldn't have bought it, but it had two interesting features. One was complete detonator assembly (suitable checked out and inert) and the other was a double struck base plug. I haven't seen a double strike baseplug before, they might be common as doggie poo, but I hadn't seen one, so I had to buy it. I have attached a photo of the baseplug for anyone that is interested.

Hi,

missed your post, nice plug, it does happen occasionally, i have seen one but not as 'well done' as yours.

I wonder if the guy stamping it had had a rather long lunch break up the pub? Maybe he helped change the UK licencing laws?
I did find this plug. sort of over stamped from 1916 to 1917.
